Tricked out treats October 28, 2011

It’s not too late to invite a few ghoulfriends over for a howling good time! All you’ll need is a b-b-b-bad to the bone playlist, painted metallic pumpkins (for the DIY download, check out Glitter Guide), bottles of champagne and assorted treats.

 

Yes, candy is dandy but dessert is wickedly fun too. You can’t go wrong with devil’s food brownies or pumpkin spice cupcakes (we heart Kara’s). Even easier are ice scream sandwiches and monochromatic jelly beans, malt balls and jawbreakers dolled up in apothecary jars à la The Decorista. Feeling crafty? Cupcakes and Cashmere serves up a caramel corn recipe that’s too yum to resist. Or take your cues from the Hostess with the Mostess and serve up Ding Dong spiders with black licorice legs. Just pipe a little choco frosting on purple sixlets to create the eyes. So fun!
