Rachel Zoe's picks for the perfectly packed carry-on...

November 22, 2011

See celeb-stylist Rachel Zoe's picks on packing smart for a cozy and chic Thanksgiving.

Get your Thanksgiving off to a great start by packing the right pieces for your travels. I always make sure to choose outfits around three key factors: the weather, the occasion, and traveling comfort. When you start from there, the rest is a piece of cake! Here are my picks for a perfectly packed carry-on:

Rz1

Ultimate Opaque Matte Tights by Commando “You can never have too many pairs of opaque tights. Pair these under all of your winter skirts and dresses to stay snug and chic.”

Mary1 Booties by BCBGMAXAZRIA “How après-ski-chic are these booties? Wear them with cozy cashmere tights and a sweater dress for a chic winter look.”

Belted Shirtdress by Milly “This printed shirtdress is a classic pick for Thanksgiving dinner—timeless and fashion-forward at the same time with its button-down front and posh print.”

Retro Stretch Bracelet by Tinley Road “Obviously no holiday ensemble is complete without a fetching statement piece. Rock this bracelet with any winter look that could use an added touch of glam.”

Rz2

Arctic Adventure Jacket by French Connection “This jacket is the perfect example of fashion meeting function. If you’re traveling to a colder climate for the holidays, I would definitely recommend packing this.”

The Chloe Beanie by Alternative “When traveling, keep an unstructured hat on you at all times to hide post-plane hair.”

Leather Glove with Roller Buckle by Michael Kors“Leather gloves are a cold weather accessory staple. This pair will add a cozy touch to any look and will last you a lifetime.”

Varigated Stripe Scarf by Levis “This striped scarf has a home-knit feel that I love. If you won’t be DIY-ing your own snug shawl this winter season, it is the next best thing!”

Rz3Keith Open Sweater by Line Knitwear “I never get on a plane without a super comfy cardigan. This one is great to wrap up in because it has an open front and chic ribbed hem.”

Pocket Tank by Rag & Bone “This tank is the perfect piece for layering. Wear it from morning to night under your go-to sweaters, then go to bed in it if need be—it’s soft enough to sleep in!”

Cole Platform Pumps by Rachel Zoe “I designed these shoes to be versatile enough for every occasion, including your Turkey Day feast! Wear them with a printed shirtdress and you’ll look oh-so-sophisticated at the dinner table.”

Tour Bell Bottom Corduroy Pants by Genetic Denim “These corduroy bell bottoms are winter’s take on summer’s popular denim flares. Wear them with a chunky knit sweater and wedge booties for a casual and cute daytime outfit.”

Dressing 9 to 5 (in the heat)!

September 01, 2011

Rachelzoe

Celeb-stylist Rachel Zoe shares how to take on the heat while dressing for the office.

Choosing outfits for the office is one of the more stress-inducing situations when it comes to dressing yourself – Is this hemline too short? Is this look casual-cool or just plain sloppy? – But when you add the element of choosing a look to wear in the extreme heat, the process becomes even more tedious! Not to worry, style-istas, for I have solutions that bring practicality and style to warm weather office wear. Bottom line? Lightweight fabrics are your friend! Beat the heat without revealing too much skin by incorporating silks and thin cottons into your work wardrobe. Follow with non-clingy bottoms and wedges that allow your feet to breathe, and remain sweat-free at your 9 to 5!

Rachel Zoe fancies baubles for spring

March 30, 2011

RZprofile This perfectly accessorized celeb-stylist lets us in on what spring bling she’s adding to her covet-worthy collection.

As a fashion collector, I am often asked what I cherish most in my repertoire. The answer is undeniably my jewelry! An ever-expanding reserve of big and beautiful gems, both old and new, represent glamorous moments and memories made over the years. This season, I am updating my collection with mixed metals, tribal-inspired baubles and tons more from Piperlime's must-have selection! In addition to my full list of Piperlime picks, here's a peek at what jewelry I'm loving:

  1.  Lucky Brand Metal Layer Necklace ($75)
I am all about tribal-inspired pieces for spring and summer. The beading and multi-colored detailing of this one is beyond!
  2. Marc by Marc Jacobs Color Block Bolt Ring ($38)
I love color-blocking in every form, particularly this bold Marc Jacobs ring. It's perfect for adding a pop of color to your look at the last minute.
  3. Betsey Johnson Snake Stud Earrings ($30)   Picture 2
There are endless serpent-shaped gems in my jewelry collection, so obviously, I was immediately drawn to these s-s-stylish ones.
  4. Hive & Honey Metal Bangles ($48)
You can never have too many bangles! Ideal for day to night, you can mix and match these with everything in your jewelry box…or rock 'em alone.
  5. Juicy Couture Double Finger Sparrow Ring ($88)
Reminiscent of my Anita Ko Wing Ring, I love how this gold-plated piece extends over your hand. So mah-jor!

xo, RZ
